When should I take a pregnancy test after frozen embryo transfer?
My clinic booked a blood beta 12 days after FET. I am tempted to use a home urine kit earlier. When is testing useful and when does it only increase anxiety?
Short answer: Home kits before the planned blood test often confuse the wait. Follow your clinic test day, especially after a trigger injection. A serum beta hCG remains the more reliable next step.
Answer #1
Why wait for the clinic blood test
Early home tests can be falsely negative or hard to read. If you used a trigger shot, leftover hCG can confuse a urine test. Your clinic times the beta so the result is easier to interpret and to plan a repeat draw if needed.

Answer #2
If you already tested early
A faint line or a negative before beta day is not a final answer. Keep taking luteal support and complete the scheduled blood test. Share any home-kit result with your clinic so counselling uses the full picture.
