What are realistic IUI success chances after three failed cycles?
We have done three IUIs with letrozole. I am 29, tubes are open, husband's semen analysis shows mild oligospermia. Should we try more IUIs or move to IVF?
Short answer: Most IUI benefit often appears in the first three to four well-timed cycles. After three failed IUIs with male factor, discussing IVF is reasonable, though a fourth IUI may still be considered case by case.
Answer #1
How to think about cumulative IUI success
Per-cycle IUI success with oral stimulation is modest and depends on age, washed sperm quality and ovulation timing. Cumulative chance rises over a few cycles, then flattens. Three carefully done cycles already inform whether IUI is enough.

Answer #2
Male factor changes the decision
With mild oligospermia, IUI can help by placing prepared sperm nearer the egg, but IVF with ICSI often offers a clearer path if IUI fails. Review washed counts from past IUIs, confirm ovulation documentation, and ask whether further male evaluation is needed.
