What IVF involves
IVF is a sequence of medical steps at a clinic: ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, lab fertilisation, and embryo transfer when a doctor recommends it. Some people also freeze embryos for a later transfer. This overview is general education for readers in India. Best IVF Centers does not perform IVF, collect reports, or guarantee outcomes.
Consultation and baseline checks
A fertility doctor reviews history and may order blood tests, ultrasound, and semen analysis. The plan depends on those findings. Best IVF Centers does not interpret reports or set protocols.
Stimulation and monitoring
Medicines may help ovaries produce multiple eggs. Clinics monitor with scans and sometimes blood tests. Dose and duration vary. Injection teaching and visit timing are handled by the clinic team.
Egg retrieval
Eggs are collected in a short procedure, usually with sedation or anaesthesia as the clinic advises. Recovery is typically same-day, but individual experience differs. Follow the clinic’s after-care instructions.
Fertilisation and the lab
Eggs and sperm meet in the lab. In some cases the lab uses ICSI. Embryos are observed for a few days. A doctor explains grading in that clinic’s language — there is no single public grading standard on this site.
Fresh or frozen transfer
An embryo may be transferred in the same cycle or frozen for a later cycle. The choice depends on medical factors. Frozen cycles have their own medicines and monitoring. Nothing here is a timeline promise.
