My AMH is low at 34. Does that mean I cannot conceive?
AMH came 0.8 ng/ml. FSH is 9. Periods are regular. Does low AMH mean I need donor eggs immediately?
Short answer: Low AMH suggests a smaller ovarian reserve and may predict lower IVF egg yield, but it does not mean natural conception is impossible. It is one marker among age, FSH, AFC and clinical history.
Answer #1
AMH is not a future pregnancy test
AMH mainly reflects the remaining follicle pool. Women with low AMH can still ovulate and conceive, especially at 34 with regular cycles. It means you should not postpone evaluation if you want more than one child, and IVF counselling should be realistic about oocyte numbers.

Next useful tests and decisions
Antral follicle count, partner semen analysis and tubal assessment complete the picture. Donor eggs are considered after repeated very poor yields or premature ovarian insufficiency—not from a single AMH value alone.
