What should I eat during IVF stimulation?
Should I go completely sugar-free, eat only warm foods, or drink pineapple core during stimulation? What is sensible?
Short answer: Eat a balanced pattern with adequate protein, fibre, fluids and iron-rich foods. Extreme elimination diets and viral IVF foods are unnecessary. Follow specific OHSS diet advice if you are a high responder.
Answer #1
Keep nutrition steady
Stimulation is not the time for crash diets. Prioritise regular meals with protein (dal, eggs, dairy, fish, paneer as suits you), vegetables, whole grains and hydration. Limit ultra-processed snacks and excess caffeine. If constipation from progesterone appears later, fibre and fluids help.

Answer #2
Ignore most viral IVF foods
Pineapple core, specific fruit timing, or avoiding all 'cold' foods lack reliable evidence for implantation. High-responder OHSS diets may emphasise protein and salt per clinic protocol—that is medical advice, not folklore. Ask your team before taking herbal fertility syrups.

Call your clinic or go to the hospital the same day if you have
- Inability to keep fluids down

- Allergic alcohol-based tonic remedies sold online
Want help finding a clinic?
Get matched to one ART-registered clinic after consent — not a directory of calls.
Answers are general education for patients in India, not a diagnosis or personal medical advice. Best IVF Centers is a fertility matching service, not a clinic or hospital. Always follow your treating doctor's instructions. In an emergency, go to the nearest hospital.
