How should we choose an IVF clinic in India?
We are confused by social media success stories and very high claimed pregnancy rates. What questions should we ask on a first visit?
Short answer: Ask for diagnosis-specific counselling, lab accreditation and transparent inclusions—not generic success percentages. Review who performs retrieval/transfer, embryology practices, complication pathways and written consent.
Answer #1
Questions that reveal quality
Ask how they report success (pregnancy vs live birth, per transfer vs per cycle started), their approach to single embryo transfer, OHSS prevention, and whether the consultant you meet performs key procedures. Tour or ask about the embryology lab's quality systems.

Red flags
Guaranteed babies, pressure to start injections the same week without reports, refusal to share package exclusions, or disparaging all other clinics are warning signs. Take reports home, compare two centres if needed, and involve both partners in consent.

Call your clinic or go to the hospital the same day if you have
- Be cautious of guaranteed pregnancy claims
- Avoid paying large cash sums without receipts and consent forms
Want help finding a clinic?
Get matched to one ART-registered clinic after consent — not a directory of calls.
Answers are general education for patients in India, not a diagnosis or personal medical advice. Best IVF Centers is a fertility matching service, not a clinic or hospital. Always follow your treating doctor's instructions. In an emergency, go to the nearest hospital.
